Since joining NAS eight years ago, Mr. Irissarri has gained extensive experience with acute and chronic effluent toxicity tests, marine and freshwater sediment toxicity tests, and sediment bioaccumulation studies.   He also has more than ten years of prior experience in conducting treatment efficacy studies in the agrichemical field.   Mr. Irissarri has been responsible for the development and implementation of new toxicity test methods at NAS, including both acute and life-cycle chironomid bioassays, and has directed numerous projects which tested Willamette River and Portland Harbor sediments with the 10-day
Hyalella azteca and Chironomus tentans sediment tests.
